I've finally come out of hiding in the real world, and have done some work on the web site. Most of the MIDI files have been replaced with highly compressed (and perfectly legal) MP3s. The bit rates are only between 20 and 32 kbps, but I only compressed them as far as there was no noticable difference in quality so the sound is still very good, and it's way the heck better than any MIDI file. Music may take a minute or two to load for users with 56k modems, but only a few seconds for the rest of us. I'm sorry if this inconveniences anyone, but times are changing and my web site is changing with them. Seriously, guys, if you're still using dial-up then it's time to join the 21st century.
Also, I've made the embedded media player visible on pages that have MP3s so that if the music is too loud or you just don't like it, you can adjust the volume or turn it off.

This web site is dedicated to the memory of AAKBUCK, an AFA regular and the room mate of one of Ask Female Anything's regulars, who was taken before his time. He leaves behind two children. Please keep both AAKBUCK's family and his room mate in your prayers. The webmaster knew AAKBUCK and wishes he had had the opportunity to know him better. Let us try to take some good from this tragedy by learning the lesson that life is fragile and that we cannot take it for granted that someone will always be there the next day. Don't remain comfortable in familiar circles; make new friends whenever the opportunity arises.
